Final Farewell
Dear patrons, friends and guests,
We never thought the day would come that we’d have to say our goodbyes.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected not only so many human lives but also prematurely shortened the lifespans of businesses like ours. We survived the first nationwide lockdown in 2020 but we were unable to sustain the restaurant when the second round of lockdowns came. And so, it was with great sadness that we made the difficult decision to permanently close the doors of Kechara Oasis. We celebrated our last Chinese New Year and served our last meal on Feb 27th, 2021.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you & your loved ones since the day we opened our doors in 2009. Inspired by our spiritual guide, His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche, we began with a simple wish – to translate our love for good food and compassion for animals into tantalising vegetarian cuisine that is not only kind to the planet but also to our body, mind and spirit. It is our fondest wish that long after our doors are permanently closed, you will continue to show kindness to our furry and feathered friends. After all, in being kind to others, we are being kind to ourselves.
Thank you so much for your patronage and support over the last 12 years. We wish all of you better days ahead and a happy & prosperous future!
Sincerely,
The management of Kechara Oasis
